History
It's 1975, the location is a small retail health food shop in an inner city suburb of Sydney, Australia, the owners Jim and Myra Carruthers are a hard working and honest couple, bringing up a young family and endeavouring to make a success of their business.
Jim & Myra were finding that their customers were constantly asking for convenient healthy snack foods that were not only good to eat, but also good for you.
The only products available at the time tended to be confectionery bars. They tasted OK, were nutritionally questionable.
After a lot of research and many late nights in the kitchen at home, with the help of friends and customers as taste testers, they developed the "Original Oatmeal & Fruit Muesli Cake".
These delicious fruity and soft round cakes, were available over the counter at Jim & Myras shop and literally sold like "Hot Cakes". It was not long before other retailers approached them to see if they could get the product to sell in their shops too. Wholesome Bake was born.
While Jim & Myra are no longer involved with Wholesome Bake, we would like to think their hard working family values and their "Convenient healthy snack foods are what Wholesome Bake represents.

From our large and modern food manufacturing facility in Caringbah, Sydney, Australia. We produce healthy snack foods that can be found in retail and grocery stores across Australia.
Our product range includes:
- Wholesome Bake branded range of nutritious snacks,
- A variety of product for grocery stores made under
their own brands. - Product for other brand owners for sale to retailers.
- Product made for use in meals and menus.
- Food ingredients for use by other food manufacturers.
